We are so excited to announce that Farmer Carters Courtyard will be back OPEN this May bank holiday weekend - 2nd & 4th May! With quizzes to complete, go-karts to race and many more games to entertain, it's sure to be a fun filled day that the whole family can enjoy out in the fresh air.
Farmer Carter had SO much fun this Easter… he’s decided to throw open the doors to his courtyard of puzzling fun once again this May bank holiday weekend; Saturday 2nd & Monday 4th May!
Located at the Millets Maze complex, it’ll have all the puzzling fun without the maize mazes! A fun way for families to head outdoors together, perfect for little adventurers aged 3–10.
Complete the quiz trails, play the games and enjoy the activities on offer all within our 3 woodlands and multiple courtyard areas. Plus there’s the go karts, ride on vehicles, sand pits, garden games and much more to explore during your session!
Please note that our maize maze is yet to be planted and will therefore not be open during this event – watch out for more info on this years Maize Maze later in the year!

After so much fun during the Easter holidays, Farmer Carters will be BACK for the May Bank holiday weekend (Sat 2nd & Mon 4th) and will be located at Millets Maze Courtyard… all the puzzling fun without the maize!
Q. Will the maize maze be open during the Farmer Carter event?
No, the Maize Mazes are not yet planted and so are not part of the Farmer Carter activities. Our maze will be opening mid July, so keep an eye on our website for more information on this.
Q. What activities are included in this event?
Farmer Carter’s Courtyard activity areas include three woodlands, go-karts plus a courtyard full of games and activities. There are quizzes to complete as Farmer Carters helper! Check out the ‘What’s Here’ tab for full details of what is included in your ticket.
Q. Are there any animals located within Farmer Carters Courtyard?
There will be no live animals located within Farmer Carters Courtyard this year.
Q. Are the sessions long enough for me to complete all the activities on offer?
Yes, each session will give you plenty of time as we suggest allowing at least 1.5 hours to complete all the quizzes.
Q. What happens if it rains during my visit?
In the event of heavy rain, the attraction may be closed due to health and safety regulations. All customers with bookings for that particular day will be contacted by us and tickets will be transferred to another event day. If you experience persistent wet weather during your Farmer Carter session you can return for a free like for like visit. Please email bookings@milletsfarmcentre.com with your booking reference.
Q. Can I just turn up and buy my tickets when I arrive?
We strongly recommend pre-booking your tickets online in advance as we cannot guarantee entry on the day as we have a set capacity for each session.
Q. Can my children go into Farmer Carters Courtyard on their own?
No, all children under 16 years old are required to be supervised fully during their visit by a responsible adult over the age of 18 years. Prices for adults and children can be found on the prices page. Adult visitors are responsible for the well being, supervision and behaviour of the children they enter with at all times
Q. What age range is this event suitable for?
The recommended age range to enjoy all the quizzes and activities on offer at this event would be 3 – 10 years. Toddlers are welcome, however may need more assistance with some of the games on offer.
Q. Are dogs allowed into this event?
No. Dogs are allowed in the overflow car parking areas but for hygiene reasons they are not allowed inside the Farmer Carter complex, with the exception of assistance dogs.
Assistance dogs should be supervised and kept under your control throughout your visit to our ticketed areas, remaining on a lead and wearing the appropriate tabard or harness.
Q. Are there toilets located within this event?
Yes, we have portaloos within this attraction and a toilet block located outside the front of the maze complex area.
Q. Is there anywhere I can purchase food and drink whilst in the courtyard?
We have refreshments available from the main kiosk, offering hot and cold drinks and light snacks for you to enjoy during your visit.
Q. Can I pay for refreshments or gift shop items with cash?
We would prefer customers to pay for any items by card where possible, however cash will be accepted.
Q. What do I do if I cannot make my booking?
We do not offer refunds, however, if you contact us before the start of your booked session by emailing us on bookings@milletsfarmcentre.com we will endeavour to transfer your booking to an alternative date and time to suit you (subject to availability). Please note we are unable to split bookings, move single tickets, or offer refunds for any missed bookings. If you create an account when booking your tickets, then you can login and move your booking yourself, subject to availability.
Q. What if I am running late?
You are welcome to arrive at any time during your booked session but the time at which your session ends will remain unchanged.
Q. What happens on entry?
Order of entry for your timed session will be on a first come first serve basis, but everyone with tickets booked for that session will be guaranteed entry. If your whole booking are not going to be arriving at the same time please ensure all members of the group have a copy of the booking QR code.
Q. Can I smoke or vape within the event?
No, smoking or vaping is not permitted in the courtyard and throughout the event area.
