Farm Shop

Sunday Till Operative: Shift times variable between 8am – 6pm.

Millets Farm Shop is looking for a friendly individual to join our Tills team. This role will involve processing customer till transactions throughout the day. The successful candidate must be well presented, be happy working with technology and be accurate with cash handling. Being able to talk clearly and confidently to customers is essential.

Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant

Weekend Chef de Partie.

Minimum 8 hours per week – 7am – 4pm either Saturday or Sunday

The Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant, at Millets Farm, is looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join their Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant team at the weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant’s menu standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow during service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and cooking stations.

Millets Farm Centre are looking for a passionate and reliable level 2 apprentice to join our catering team, working across two on-site kitchens that pride themselves on quality, seasonality, and sustainability.

Hours 7am-4pm OR 8am-6pm (dependant on which kitchen you are in). You must be able to commute here for a 7am start.

This is a full time position offering stable hours and the opportunity to work with fresh, home-grown produce straight from their estate.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using home-grown and locally sourced ingredients
  • Working across two unique kitchens on the site, supporting daily service and prep
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Contributing to menu ideas with fresh, seasonal produce
  • Supporting kitchen organisation, stock control, and waste management

What They’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen is desired but not essential, they are happy to train from scratch for someone who is keen to develop a career in kitchens.
  • A full UK driving licence – essential due to early start times in a rural location.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine passion for quality food
  • Knowledge of or interest in seasonal cooking and home-grown produce.

Commis Chef / Cook

Full-Time hours: 5 days per week including a Sunday. Shift times vary from 8.30am – 3pm weekdays during term time and 8.30am – 6pm weekends and school holidays. 33 – 45 hours per week. Occasional evenings until 8.30pm up to 10 times per year.

We are looking for a passionate and reliable chef or experience cooked to join our friendly team at Rose Cottage Café within Sprouts Play Barn. This person needs to be enthusiastic about providing top quality, healthy food options to children and their families and recognises the importance of ensuring everything they do meets our high food hygiene and allergy management requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing_

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes using home-grown and locally sourced ingredients
  • Plating up dishes to order during the daily breakfast and lunch service, maintaining high standards of organisation, presentation and cleanliness
  • Being responsible for ensuring all allergens are handled with the upmost care and attention to keep our customers safe
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and HACCP record keeping
  • Supporting kitchen organisation, stock control, and waste management

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen is essential. Minimum Level 2 Production Chef qualification preferred.
  • A candidate over 21 with a full UK driving licence – essential due to needing to use a company vehicle for collecting ingredients every morning from our onsite Farm Shop (the age limit is for insurance purposes)
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a genuine passion for quality food
  • Knowledge of or interest in offering healthy food choices to children
  • No seasonal applicants – this is a long-term role
