Farm Shop
5 days/week including a weekend day. 2am shift start time!
Millets Farm Shop is looking for an experienced Baker to work in our scratch bakery alongside 2 other Bakers to produce our range of handmade loaves, baps, sweet buns, speciality breads and sour doughs on a daily basis. The successful candidate must have high standards of personal hygiene, be able to use their initiative and work well as part of a team. Shifts would be from 2am/3am until 11am/midday and would include at least one weekend day.
Minimum 40 hours/week across 5 x 7am – 4pm shifts. MUST include a Sunday.
This role involves working as part of the Bakery production team responsible for our delicious cake range. There will be a phased approach to learning how to make a range of products with the long-term objective to be able to make all products in our range competently and quickly without supervision. Alongside production all team members contribute to daily and weekly cleaning tasks, packing and pricing of products, putting away deliveries and serving on the counter to cover lunch breaks. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen, a good understanding of food hygiene and who is able to work well as part of a team. Cake decorating experience would be beneficial.
Tuesday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm
Millets Farm Shop is looking for a “people person” who has proven excellent customer service skills and would be comfortable serving raw meat products from our Butchery counter. The successful candidate will need the confidence to chat to customers and the ability to pick up information quickly and learn about the products they are selling so they can advise customers according to their individual requirements. The successful candidate must be well presented and have high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene. Being able to complete the role whilst adhering to strict food hygiene practices is essential. This is a physical role that involves being on your feet all day.
26 hours/week across 3 shifts. Tuesday 7am – 1pm, Thursday 7am – 6pm and Sunday 7am – 6pm. Flexibility to work additional hours to cover holidays.
Millets Farm Shop is looking for an energetic individual to work within our fresh produce department. This role will involves helping to set up the fresh fruit and vegetable displays ready for the shop opening, keeping the shop replenished, clean and tidy throughout the day and cleaning down at the end of the shift whilst always adhering to a high standard of food hygiene practice. The role requires somebody with attention to detail as all the fruit and veg needs to be assessed for quality before putting out for sale. In addition the department helps to manage the incoming deliveries to the shop during the day. The successful candidate must be able to follow instruction and use their initiative to find tasks that need completing. This is a very active role and will require some heavy lifting.
Shifts Friday 10am – 6pm and Sunday 9am – 5pm
Millets Farm Shop is looking for a “people person” who has proven excellent customer service skills. This role will involves setting up the pastry/deli counter and chillers for sale in the morning, serving customers throughout the day, processing deliveries and carry out stocking up tasks, preparing the products for baking as required, and ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy at all times. The successful candidate must be well presented and have high standards of cleanliness and will need a thirst for knowledge to become knowledgeable in the products they are selling.
3 days/week including a weekend day. 2am shift start time!

The Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant is looking for hard working individuals with previous experience as a Barista to join their front of house team. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a busy and vibrant part self-service/part table service restaurant. The role involves preparing hot drinks to order using a barista coffee machine on our very busy coffee counter. The successful candidates must have a nice manner with customers, be organised and able to to keep their working environment clean and tidy and able to keep the speed and quality of drinks high during a busy shift. Salary dependant on age and experience with regular pay increases related to performance and length of service. This role is not suitable for a first job.
Shift times variable between 8am – 6pm
Millets Farm Shop is looking for a friendly individual to work on our tills. This role will involve processing customer till transactions throughout the day. The successful candidate must be well presented, be happy working with technology, have a good knowledge of fruit and vegetables and be accurate with cash handling. Being able to talk clearly and confidentially to customers is essential.
This position is open to those over 18 years olds only as the successful candidate must be able to authorise the sale of alcohol.
Sunday shift 8.45am – 6pm
Millets Farm Centre are looking for enthusiastic bubbly individuals to join our friendly team based at Sprouts Play Barn. We are looking for a team player that isn’t afraid to get stuck in with the tasks of the day. This role could include working within Sprouts Play Barn as a Play Assistant, working within our Pick Your Own fields and working at our new Adventure Golf course when this opens in July and may vary from day to day. All these positions share the same requirement for delivering excellent customer service within an environment that provides the highest standards in wholesome family fun. At each of these locations the role involves greeting customers on arrival, checking of their booking, and providing all the information they will need during their visit. There will also be many cleaning tasks, periods of time supervising areas of play, undertaking regular “warden walks” and selling merchandise and refreshments. The successful applicants must be confident in speaking to both adults and children, outgoing, energetic and fun with a passion for customer service and a willingness to learn.

Millets Farm Centre is looking for enthusiastic and hard working individuals to work in our Catering Pod. This role will involve serving customers serving customers with scooping Ice creams, making hot drinks using a push button coffee machine, serving slushies and processing customers transactions through the Till. Excellent customer service skills and a good understanding of food hygiene practices are essential. You will be required to complete an online food hygiene certificate before starting. Previous food handling and customer service experience would be ideal. Applications from over 17 year olds only please and this role is not suitable for a first job.
