Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant

Shift times 8.30am – 6pm. Must include a Sunday.

The Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant at Millets Farm Centre is looking for a hard working individuals to join their front of house team in a supervisor role. The newly extended Farmhouse Kitchen is a busy and vibrant part self-service/part table service restaurant. Our customers are very varied from those who want a quiet lunch in the week, families enjoying a day out at the weekend, coffee and cake customers in the afternoons, cooked breakfast lovers or coach trips. The role will be working alongside the Restaurant Manager and two other supervisors to ensure the day to running of the restaurant goes smoothly. The role will involve processing customer orders on the till and barista work, running customers food to their tables as well as helping to keep the restaurant clean and tidy throughout the day. As a supervisor you will be required to co-ordinate the team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard as well as some ordering responsibilities. The successful candidates must be able to deliver exceptional customer service and have the ability to deal with any customer issues in a professional and efficient manner. The must be able to use their initiative to find the tasks that need completing and have the energy to keep both themselves and their team motivated during a busy shift.

Rate of pay: £11.00 – £11.50 per hour dependant on experience. 

Full time and part time hours available. Shift times can vary between 8.30am – 6pm. School hours shifts are available but all positions must include a weekend day.

Farm Shop

Full time and part time hours available from 2 – 5 days per week. 7am – 4pm shifts. All roles will include a Sunday.

This role involves working as part of the Bakery production team responsible for our delicious cake range. There will be a phased approach to learning how to make a range of products with the long-term objective to be able to make all products in our range competently and quickly without supervision. Alongside production all team members contribute to daily and weekly cleaning tasks, packing and pricing of products, putting away deliveries and serving on the counter to cover lunch breaks. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen, a good understanding of food hygiene and who is able to work well as part of a team. Cake decorating experience would be beneficial.

Salary dependant on age and experience but starts at £10.45 – £11.50/hour.

Weekend Work

Shift times between 8.45am – 6pm.
Rose Cottage Café within Sprouts Play Barn is looking for a hard-working individual to join their front of house team. The roles involve processing transactions on the till and barista training as well as helping to keep the play barn clean and tidy throughout the day. The successful candidates must have a nice manner with customers, be able to use their initiative to find the tasks that need completing and have the energy to stay motivated during a busy shift.

Saturday and Sunday shifts available. Shift times 9am – 6pm.

The Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant is looking for hard working individuals with previous experience as a Barista to join their front of house team. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a busy and vibrant part self-service/part table service restaurant. The role involves preparing hot drinks to order using a barista coffee machine on our very busy coffee counter. The successful candidates must have a nice manner with customers, be organised and able to to keep their working environment clean and tidy and able to keep the speed and quality of drinks high during a busy shift. Salary dependant on age and experience with regular pay increases related to performance and length of service. This role is not suitable for a first job.

Saturday or Sunday shifts available, 7am – 4/5pm.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to help us deliver top quality food from seasonal and homegrown ingredients as part of our friendly kitchen team in the Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant. The Farmhouse Kitchen is a busy day time restaurant with a popular breakfast and lunch service. This role involves assisting in the preparation of the restaurant menu and working on the pass during breakfast and lunch service. You would be joining a team of 5 other Chef’s and working as part of a larger kitchen team to ensure all standards are maintained relating to food hygiene, customer satisfaction, profit margins, health & safety and COSHH. The shift is 7am start with a finish time between 4pm – 5pm depending on how busy the day has been. Please note this role is not suitable for a first job and applications from over 18 year olds only will be considered. Previous experience in a commercial kitchen would be beneficial.

Seasonal Work

We are looking for a team of people to work on our Pick Your Pumpkin Patch this October – including October Half Term, our busiest week of the year!
 
This role is based outside in our pumpkin field and is a physically active role. You will be on your feet for the majority of the shift and will need to dress up warm! The role involves checking customer ticket bookings on arrival, keeping the pumpkin pitch tidy and supervised during the day and taking payment for the pumpkins the customers have chosen when they leave the field. A good level of mental arithmetic is required at this stage! Excellent customer service skills and being able to work as part of a team are essential. You will be required to complete some online training before starting.
 
Shifts are available from Saturday 21st October to Sunday 29th October and vary from full days to 5 hour shifts over lunchtime. Please only apply if you are available for at least 5 of these dates. 
 
Rate of pay dependant on age and in line with the living wage for those over 23.

Either: 26 hours/week Wednesday – Saturday  Shift times 10am – 5pm. Fixed term contract from Friday 13th October – Saturday 24th December.

Millets Farm is looking for a confident and calm individual to man our Farm Shop entrance door. This individual will be responsible for greeting customers and managing the flow of customers into the shop to it doesn’t become overcrowded at busy times as well as being an information point for customer queries. The successful candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be able to use their common sense when faced with unusual customer questions! They must be well presented and have a friendly and approachable attitude. This role would suit somebody who likes to chat to people and is happy to be on their feet for most of the day.
