This access statement does not contain personal opinions as to our suitability for those with access needs but aims to accurately describe the facilities and services that we offer all our guests/visitors.
Introduction
Millets Farm is a retail and leisure attraction, open 7 days a week. We seek to be accessible to all visitors. As a farm-based rural destination this can present some challenges reaching some areas for field based attractions such as Phoebe Wood and seasonal events, including our Maize Maze and Pumpkin Picking. The pathways to such events may not be suitable for all wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.

Pre-Arrival
- Our website describes the main facilities, attractions, directions, opening times of each and prices (where applicable) with the relevant contact numbers and email addresses.
- Our Customer Service team is available for any information before your arrival and can be contacted by e-mail and social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram).
- Dogs Welcome. Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere on site. All other dogs are welcome in outside areas except the Events fields. Dogs should be always kept on a lead.
- Mobile phone reception is fair across the site, but there are some weak spots.
Our free customer Wi-Fi is available for you to use in the Farmhouse Kitchen and the café within the Garden Centre.
Directions & Parking Information
- Getting to Millets Farm by road – 5 miles west of the Abingdon A34 junction, just off the A415 Abingdon to Witney main road. Millets Farm Centre is
signposted with brown tourist information signs from local routes, including
the A240. - For satellite navigation systems our post code is OX13 5HB.
- Our What Three Words location is: ///forensic.bump.relative
- Train transport – Didcot Parkway and Oxford train stations are both approximately 30 minutes away; however, there is no direct public transport
from these stations to the site. - Bus transport – The Oxford Bus Company have a service travelling from Abingdon and Witney that calls at Millets Farm Centre daily. Please see our Visitor information page (how to find us) for more information on bus times
- Parking is free.
- Main car parks: We have a large tarmac car park outside our retail buildings for approx. 300 cars and outside our main leisure attractions (~100 spaces). Additional overflow parking is on grass.
- Allocated Blue Badge parking can be found in our main car parks close to the Farm Shop and Garden Centre buildings (26 bays). We also have Blue Badge parking (6 bays) in our leisure carpark outside the entrance to Sprouts Playbarn.
- Our coach/minibus parking is in the main car park to the right of the Garden Centre Building.
- Wheelchairs: we have wheelchairs available on site to borrow on a first come first serve basis. These can be found in our wheelchair store next to the Farmhouse Kitchen.
Toilets
- Toilets can be found in various locations:

- Sprouts Playbarn
- Outside play area
- Entrance to Farmyard Golf
- All toilet facilities are equipped with automatic hand driers and lit mostly with natural light. Baby changing is available at each of these facilities.
- Accessible toilets are found in the following locations. These are all step-free.
- Toilet block adjacent to the Farm Shop: this is a fully accessible toilet (size 1.55m x 2.20m). With an outward opening door, a transfer space on one side
of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, horizontal grab rail positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor and a coat hook. Note the height of the toilet, from floor to seat in this cubicle is 20.5″/521mm.
The toilet within the admissions area to Sprouts Playbarn is a fully accessible toilet (2.45 x 2.00m) With an outward opening door, a transfer space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, vertical grab rails positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, and an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor.
Within Webbs Garden Centre is a fully accessible toilet (2.20 x 1.70m). With an outward opening door, a transfer space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, vertical grab rails positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor, and a coat hook.
Outdoor accessible toilet (1.50m x 2.90m), located next to the children’s play area. This toilet has ramp access. With an inward opening door, a transfer
space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, horizontal grab rail positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, an
emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor. The floor surface leading up to this facility is uneven.
Accessible toilet outside Farmyard Golf (1.50m x 2.90m). This toilet has ramp access. The floor surface leading up to this facility is uneven. With an
outward opening door, a transfer space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, horizontal grab rail positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor. Note this toilet is only open during school holidays.
The Farmhouse Kitchen restaurant has 2 fully accessible toilet facilities: (1) Accessible toilet (size 2.20m x 2.70m): With an outward opening door; a transfer space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, horizontal grab rail positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, and an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor. (2) A room (size 3.50m x 220m) equipped with an adult-sized adjustable changing bed, a privacy screen and electric ceiling mounted hoist. Customers are required to use their own sling for infection control reasons. This toilet has an outward opening door, a transfer space on one side of the toilet with a drop-down grab rail on the transfer side, horizontal grab rail positioned on the wall adjacent to the toilet, and an emergency assistance alarm within reach from the floor. This room is opened using a RADAR key or by asking for assistance from a member of staff.
Arrival
- There are many ways to enjoy Millets Farm, please do download our APP for an interactive site map or pick one up from the Farm Shop, Farmhouse Kitchen or Sprouts Playbarn. We also have maps on display around the site.
- Pathways connect all locations. Concrete and paved pathways connect the retail and catering buildings. Self-binding gravel pathways link to our lower lawn and leisure facilities.
- When visiting our retail and catering areas:
- There is no main reception.
- The Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Farmhouse Kitchen have their own step-free entrance, levelled flooring, wide walk-ways and good lighting. All internal areas are located on the ground floor with no steps to negotiate. If you need assistance when visiting, you’ll find staff on hand who will be happy to help.
- Within our Farmhouse Kitchen there are a variety of seating options with a clear height of 28″/711mm underneath most tables. If you need help with carrying your items, please ask a member of the team. Please let staff know if you have any allergies. A full allergen list is available for items on sale. Within the Farmhouse Kitchen is a quiet room for grown up chats.
- The Farm Shop and Garden Centre have automatic doors.
- Please be aware that some of our smaller artisan shops on-site do have step access.
- Within all retail concessions staff can assist with reaching retail items and with reading the price of items if required.
- Our Lakeview Suite and Meeting Room are located upstairs but are only available for private functions. This area has lift access.
- When visiting our outdoor playarea and woodland: The grounds are largely grassed, and/or compacted gravel or bark. All play equipment has safety surfacing where required and is maintained to the current European Standard.
- When visiting Sprouts Playbarn, Farmyard Golf and Seasonal Events where admission fees apply:
- We recommend tickets are purchased in advance online.
- Essential Companion tickets : Visitors with an Access Card featuring the +1 or +2 symbol can receive free Essential Companion tickets. Book tickets
using your Access Card or register directly through our Digital Access Pass. Please click here for further information on our Essential Companion policy. - Sprouts Playbarn: There is easy access with wide doorways and aisles. The playframe is on 3 tiers and not suitable for wheelchairs. SEND friendly sessions are run bi-monthly.
- Farmyard Golf: There is level access around the course.
- Seasonal Events: Most of our events are on grass / uneven ground.
- For access requirements pertinent to Millets Wildside please contact them
direct as they are an independent business.
Additional Information
- There is no smoking or vaping/use of e-cigarettes within Millets Farm.
- First Aid. We have several trained First Aiders onsite, please ask a member of our team if you require medical assistance. A Defibrillator can be found within the
foyer of the Farmhouse Kitchen. - Opening Hours: Daily except Easter Sunday, 25, 26 December and 1 January. The main site gate automatically lock at 6.15pm.
- There are several benches across the site at many different locations. Mostly these are benches with arms and backs, although on the lawn areas, we do have
picnic tables and backless benches. - All information boards around the farm have clear print.

day wherever possible.
