Here at Millets Farm Shop we are passionate about food and proud of what we do. Our Foodie evenings allow us to share what we know and what we do best, with you our customers. At Millets we have some exceptionally knowledgeable staff and we want them to share their passion with you.
Join us for a behind the scenes experience with our experts where we can share what we do best. Whether it’s trying your hand at sausage making or kneading your own loaf of bread, these evenings will incorporate tips and demonstrations to ensure you have a memorable evening with us.
Butchery Evenings: Thurs 16th May(Beef & Chicken) - Thurs 6th June (Burger & Sausage) - Thurs 12th Sept (Pork & Lamb)
Join our skilful butchers for an evening display of butchery. Choose from a masterclass in Pork & Lamb or Beef & Chicken where our master butchers will demonstrate how to cut, joint and trim carcasses on our butchers block. Alternatively, roll up your sleeves and create your own burger or sausage to take home!
Fruits of the Sea: Thurs 16th May (Beginners) - Thurs 6th June (Beginners) - Thurs 12th Sept (Advanced)
Our expert fishmonger Dave Pizzey leads these fishy masterclasses.
Beginners: Come along and learn how to prepare, cook and present a selection of delicious fish. Then under Dave's expert supervision you'll be able to practice a fishy skill!
Advanced: For fishy lovers who want to take their skills to the next level.
Bread & Cheese: Thurs 16th May - Thurs 6th June - Thurs 12th Sept
Join us for an insightful and tasty evening of bread and cheese treats. This masterclass consists of 2 halves: prove and bake 2 different types of bread with Russ our baker and learn how cheese is made...in a fish tank!
Millets Homegrown: Thurs 11th July
Join us on a behind the scenes tour of the farm at Millets. Our Fruit and Vegetable Managers will guide you around the fields that surround the shop, giving you a wonderful insight of the process that takes our produce from seeds in the ground to beautiful food for sale in the shop.
Sessions for all the evenings will run from 6.30pm - 8pm and will include a short break where refreshments will be served.
Tickets cost £7.50 per person and most sessions include a 'foodie souvenir'!
Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited to each session. Tickets can be purchased online or from the Farm Shop till points.
