SEN EVENTS CALENDAR
Our events team have put together a number of SEN friendly sessions for this Summer, starting with John Lawsons Circus during May half term...
Circus SEN Performance
The award winning John Lawson’s Circus will be hosting a circus performance for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and their families this May half term.
With an entirely human cast and lots of new acts, this enthralling show is a great family experience not to be missed!
The big top will have a lower capacity (half our usual capacity) and quieter music for each acts performance. There will be no flashing lights or strobes, no smoke or water however as part of the show the big top will be in darkness prior to the start of some of the acts. Please also note that the show usually features some gentle audience participation, with visitors closer to the front tending to be chosen for this!
We hope these adaptations will enable those families with SEN children to enjoy the show, however please make your own judgements based on your individual needs as to whether these measures make it more suitable for you.
Visitors will be required to show proof of carers ID or an accepted form of documentation that supports the need for a carer on arrival. Please email enquiries@milletsfarmcentre.com if you require a space for a wheelchair as these can be reserved, subject to availability.
Dates & Timings:
Thursday 30th May
Show time 3pm
Each show lasts approximately 1 hour
Tickets & Prices:
£9.50 per person. (Under 2’s free of charge).
Both children (2 and over) and adults must have a ticket
Carers tickets are available for this performance (1 per booking – proof of carers ID will be required to be shown on arrival.)
If you require multiple carers tickets for a large group booking, please email us on enquiries@milletsfarmcentre.com with your requests and we will get back to you with how to process this.
Tickets will only be available to buy on the door (card payments only) if capacity allows so we suggest pre-booking your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.

SEN Maize Maze Sessions
Race into our 27th a-mazing maize maze and join us for a day filled with puzzling fun throughout our 3 maize mazes, 3 woodlands, fort maze and courtyard areas.
We also have garden games, ride on tractors, pedal go-karts (for adults and kids!), sand pits, skittles, giant board games, woodland dens and musical instruments and much more, all included in your all-day ticket.
For these SEN sessions, we’ll be opening early at 9am and the first two hours will be reserved for SEN ticket holders only. This will hopefully allow for a quieter session, where families can have a head start on exploring and playing the activities.
As the maze is an all-day event, you will still receive a wristband and can come and go throughout the day, but please be aware that after 11am the Maze will be open to general ticket holders. Visitors will be required to show proof of carers ID or an accepted form of documentation that supports the need for a carer on arrival.
Dates & Timings:
Sunday 4th August and Thursday 22nd August
9am – 11am exclusively for families with special educational needs (SEN), then open to general ticket holders from 11am.

Other useful information:
- Please book tickets online in advance and select your preferred date and entry time.
- All tickets include use of all maze activities and allow you to come in and out of the maze area all day. Regardless of your arrival time, you are welcome to stay until we close at 5:30pm.
- Between 9am – 11am there will only be families with SEN in attendance, however from 11am onwards the maze will open to general ticket holders.
- Subject to availability and capacity, some tickets may be available on the day at the entrance ticket booth but this is not guaranteed.
- We recommend this event for the whole family, however younger children may require assistance with some of the games and quizzes.
- As this is an outdoor event with the maize mazes planted in a field, pathways are uneven in places, so wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs may struggle to navigate through the entire maize maze field.
- We have Portaloo facilities located within the maze area, however the closest disabled and baby change facilities are located in the Farmhouse Kitchen Restaurant and to the side of the Farm Shop.

Farmyard Golf SEN Sessions
Enjoy a round of fun on our 18-hole farm themed adventure golf course. The course is packed full of fantastic obstacles to challenge all players no matter your age or ability.
Our adventure golf course takes you on a whistle stop tour of everything Millets; from our farming heritage to record breaking leisure achievements. Come along and play for fun or challenge each other to a tournament and play to win! Can you hit a hole in one?!
During the SEN friendly times, we will be operating at a lower capacity, with tee-off times spaced 20 minutes apart, as opposed to the usual 10 minutes during other hours. We hope that this will allow families to have a quieter, calmer experience, without feeling pressure to quickly complete part of the course.
