Halloween Information Pack for Actors 2024
We are seeking talented actors for multiple roles in an upcoming eerie tale that will captivate family audiences. If you have a passion for storytelling and a flair for performing with a hardworking attitude, then we want you to be part of this unique theatrical experience.
Role Details:
- Duration: 11 nights of performance.
- Rate of Pay: Hourly rate dependent on age and experience + 4 free guest passes to the event
- Location: Millets Farm Centre, Pumpkins by Night Time Event.
- Rehearsal Dates: Saturday 20th Sep 6-8pm, Dress Rehearsal Friday 4th October 5-8pm.
- Performance Dates: 11th 12th, 18th 19th, 25th – 31st October 5.30-9pm
Casting for the Following Roles:
- News Reporter: A character to greet guests before they enter. To tell of the tragic tale of a young girl’s family who never returned.
- X3 Young Girls: Martha: A young girl who has lost her family. Able to interact.
- A Scarecrow. Able to mime and interact with the audience.
- A Priest: A quirky character with a deep connection to the spirit world, guiding the protagonist through the unknown into whispering woods.
- Understudy: Their role will be to learn all the above roles so they are able to cover any should someone be poorly or not able to perform. When not needing to understudy they will be a walk around act interacting with the customers around the event. This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable to go with the flow with acting improvisation.
Requirements:
- Previous acting experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to convey complex emotions and maintain character integrity.
- Comfortable with performing in an intimate, immersive setting.
- Able to perform repetitive dialogue and ad lib with customers.
- Stamina to put up with all weathers.
- Available for all rehearsal and performance dates.
- Must be aged 16 years old and over.
Audition Details:
- In-person auditions will be held over two dates – Friday 9th August 7-9pm and Saturday 10th August 6-8pm.
- Location: Lakeview Suite at Millets Farm Centre. (Please meet outside the Farm Shop)
- At your audition you will be given some dialogue to read independently and as a group. You will be able to have a go at improvisation followed by a short informal interview.
- Callbacks will be scheduled as and if needed.
- Casting will be made the following week.
- Scripts will be given once casting has been completed.
